This is another product that has had special significance for us since we began.

It had already been cultivated in other parts of Europe (Spain and the South of France) but it was to be best suited to the western region of Portugal, near the sea, in the fertile soils of the municipalities of Lourinhã and Peniche. It was here that growing conditions have come together to bring out the best of the characteristics that made the name of this cabbage.

Germany is the main market for this product, to such an extent that the cabbage has come to be known here by its German name: "Spitzkohl" (pointed cabbage).

Our other key market is the United Kingdom, where we send mostly the smaller grades. And we also send this variety of cabbage to Holland and Italy.
